New Website Adventures

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to say first sorry I haven't been here for a while, this is because I have been focusing on work and my makeup.
Since October last year I have been creating around 2 looks a week for my Instagram page and this has been great feedback, so now I have a brand new shiny website for you all to go and enjoy and better yet it has a brand new blog on there.

Maleficent Cosplay Makeup Look

This was my Maleficent makeup look inspired by the 2014 Film featuring ‎Angelina Jolie. I created the headpiece myself to create this look and already had a black cape that i could use for the photos similar cape HERE.

Halloween 2017 Look 1 - Vampire Makeup/SFX

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to first let you all know I have gone back into my hobbie of makeup/sfx makeup and I couldn't be happier about it. I have a Instagram page Beckyrookesdesign and Facebook page at Beckyann. 2017 Resolutions

 

Hello All,

So the start of this year I made resolutions like most people do and I actually stuck to all of them... I know the shock! But this year was more realistic and life goals.

1. Learn how to drive (I started this back in May and might be passed by Christmas which I'm very proud of myself for doing as its something my nan would be very proud of. Also I never thought id be able to drive I just thought it would be hard but I love it. Will be doing a blog post once passed about my experience if anyone is interested or wanted help.)

2. Become braver (I've always been scared of the dentist and doctors for as long as I can remember and I wanted this to stop. As you get older the more you need to visit healthcare and knowing I want children in the future its something I need to get over. Turns out I was tested for high cholesterol which is in my DNA from my dad's side of the family, this meant lots of blood tests and scans. At the moment I'm better than I used to be and have forced myself to the doctors, hospital and dentist so I'm nearly there as I think ill always be that little nervous.)

3. Loose weight (from this time last year I have lost a little weight, but this is something that I think I will battle with for the rest of my life as I'm torn between feeling great and over eating on junk, its something I think I will need to learn and take that relationship away from food, slowly but surely my mind will get there, if you have nay tips please share below, would be hugely grateful.)

4. Get a new job (Start of this year I was so fed up on were I worked and felt shut in and no way out i decided to look for a job where I could have a future in. currently in accounts job and loving it)

5. Saving (This year I have been saving for the first time in my life and I'm so proud of myself, currently saving for a couple of different things and happy with how its going.)


So this year I have been successful on the resolution side and completed them all nearly so by Christmas time I can officially say I've completed everything.



Time to plan next years resolution in December, would love to know if you ticked of yours and if your planning next years resolution's :)

Moving On // Life Changes

So recently I was so unmotivated and unhappy where I was in life (I felt like I was at the end of a chapter withing my life). I sat and thought what the pin point of this was and it was where I worked. If your anything like me and worked in the world of recruitment you know its abit like a shark tank. I explored my options on what I wanted to go into which was accounts and found the perfect role near my house and more money to help me financially with saving for a mortgage and learning to drive.

I thought I would create this blog to help anyone going through this as I know its a difficult time to move on and feel stability within changing from Company to Company.

1. Don't always move just for money it has to be for the better. Better role and better people within the business and also a good career progression. Which also comes under if your current Company offer a counter offer always think about the the future if you take the offer will you still be unhappy ?

2. Take some time out to attend interviews and be selective within the process

3. Research the company and find reviews before making the move

4. Make sure your new employer knows about your working notice and before you give this in to your current employer make sure you have confirmation from your new employer to have that stability in moving on

5. You will have people at your current workplace that your close to, go out and take time to let them know your time working with them was great if they worked closely to you. (even keep in-touch afterwards)

So they were my own personal tips on moving job roles i'd love to hear your tips and stories below!

Life Through Instagram

So here's a few photos that have been uploaded onto my Instagram account through the month of December.
I've taken part in abit of DIY in my place which i got from Pintrest and also a few photos of social outings and of course my all time part ... Everything Christmas !!

Also top Left is a good throw back Thursday of mine when i was between the ages of 2-3 years old. Me and my dads mom going down to Whitesands Bay in St Davids (Wales), Thinking of getting this printed for my place.

Hello Everyone

So a couple days before Halloween i thought to myself as I was growing up I didn't celebrate Halloween. so I deiced to get some pumpkins for me and my partner to carve !!

These are currently sat on my kitchen window sill so anyone passing the house can see.

I was shocked on how difficult it was to carve, so I went for a classic face,

I would love to get more creative next year though.

My pumpkin is the left one and my partners is the right pumpkin

All Things Autumn

Hello,
Like most people I know I can agree with that this is the start of my fav part of the year !
The cold but yet sunny mornings, the burnt orange and red colored leaves and clothes, dark lipstick, hot drinks (coffee !) and the amazing warm clothes to layer with.
Then you have Halloween and bonfire night then the most exciting time of the year... Christmas !!

Here's just some examples to get you all excited :)

1. Autumn Colours: As you walk through the parks/streets and see all these amazing colours that cover the floor.....

2. Hot Drinks: Either Alcoholic or non-alcoholic its nicer to enjoy when your cold :)

3. Clothing: I love this time of year to get cosy and comfy all the time and to experiment with layering your textures...

4. Makeup : I love experimenting with lipstick but best of all I get to wear dark colours now !

5. And at the very end is of course Christmas !! its my absolutely favourtive time of the year and not ashamed to say I get very excited to see all the Christmas decorations out in October :). If I were someone from a film you could say im abit like Will Ferall in Elf .....

Shoes Everywhere

Hello Everyone !

So I will be scrolling down tumbler and always come across some heels that I fall in love with... am I the only one that does this ?

So under neath I have put together some images I save to my phone to go hunting for. Im sure Zara might have a few of these pairs if your intrested too :).

Ive always wanted a good pair of printed heels but never found the (ones). Also you cant go wrong with some black heels right ? they go with everything !!
